PLL Schedule Locations: Week 1-4

Updated: Feb 6, 2020

From its headquarters in Los Angeles, the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has unveiled the first four locations for the upcoming 2020 regular season.

For the second consecutive season, the PLL will begin action at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, on Friday night, May 29. With two games on Saturday, May 30, the league has high hopes to top what was a very successful 2019 opening weekend. PLL Co-Founder and CEO Mike Rabil called the decision to play at Gillette “a no brainer,” noting the “first-class experience” the stadium offers to both fans and players and an “exceptional” Patriots gameday operations crew.

Atlanta will host Week 2 on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at Kennesaw State University’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium, located 24 miles outside of Atlanta, GA. Paul Rabil, PLL Co-Founder and Atlas LC Midfielder, cited a “surge in lacrosse participation” in the Atlanta area as a contributing factor to establishing and maintaining a strong fan base in Georgia.

The league will go to Long Island on June 12 and June 13 to play its Week 3 games. Stony Brook University’s Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, which has hosted two NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship quarterfinals and three NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championships, will provide the venue. Stony Brook Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron called the opportunity to host the PLL as a “huge opportunity for Stony Brook and for all of Long Island to celebrate a sport that is so important to our region.”

Homewood Field in Baltimore, MD will host Week 4 on July 20 and July 21. After playing in front of a sold-out crowd on a Friday night in 2019, the league hopes to build on its success at historic Homewood Field, home of the 44-time national champion Johns Hopkins men’s lacrosse team.

The remaining 2020 schedule locations will be announced over the next several months leading up to the beginning of the regular season.
